* Note a margine
This year, the festival is enhanced by “Note a margine,” a space dedicated to writing, listening, and exchange, to talk about music in a conscious way.
Under the guidance of Massimo Raffa, Associate Professor of Musicology at the University of Salento, and Fiorella Sassanelli, professor at the "Piccinni" Conservatory and music critic for Repubblica Bari, the workshop will feature the participation of Harvey Sachs, music historian and writer for The New York Times and The Guardian, Carla Moreni, music critic for Il Sole 24 Ore, and Luca Baccolini, journalist for Repubblica and editor at Classic Voice.
There will also be sessions dedicated to young musicians on professional communication: from biographies to the use of social media.
The workshop is free and open to a maximum of 15 participants, who will be able to attend all the festival appointments and immediately try their hand at critical writing by preparing concert reviews, some of which may be published on the Repubblica website. This is a concrete and prestigious opportunity to test oneself and gain experience in high-level music journalism.
10 of the 15 available spots are reserved for DAMS students at the University of Salento.
Those interested can submit their application by sending a brief CV, including any experience in journalistic writing or music/art criticism, and a short motivational letter.
