* Festival
The time of music, the shape of the party!
In the blink of an eye, we have reached the tenth edition of Classiche Forme. An important milestone in the history of the festival founded and directed by pianist Beatrice Rana: ten years of shared music, of artistic relationships nurtured over time, and of young talents who have grown alongside their audience. From July 19th to 26th – with a preview on the 18th – there will be nine days of chamber music featuring great international performers, concerts, and talks in the most evocative locations of Salento. This year’s theme, 'Family Lexicon' (Lessico familiare), is expressed through a program that explores the sense of belonging between performers, musical and educational lineages, and the silent kinships throughout music history. Once again, world-renowned names and emerging young talents will share the stage with programs ranging from the 16th-century tradition of Monteverdi to the Russian school of Tchaikovsky and Taneyev, reaching the Anglo-American expressions of Britten and Barber. Classiche Forme 10 will be a curious and bold edition, capable of embracing diversity while looking at what music is today and what it might become tomorrow.
The program
To celebrate its tenth anniversary, Classiche Forme presents 'La Cura del Talento' , a social project dedicated to training and supporting young musicians, and 'Opere Prime', an album featuring the festival's first nine commissioned works—a significant contribution to Italian contemporary composition. The album will be available on all digital platforms starting March 11th.
