Beatrice Rana

Beatrice Rana performs at the world’s most esteemed concert halls and festivals including the Berlin Philharmonie, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Carnegie Hall, Barbican Centre, Royal Albert Hall, Philharmonie de Paris, Vienna’s Konzerthaus and Musikverein, KKL Lucerne, Cologne Philharmonie, Munich’s Isarphilharmonie, Frankfurt’s Alte Oper, Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie, Tonhalle Zurich, Philharmonie de Luxembourg, Teatro alla Scala, BBC Proms.

She collaborates with conductors such as Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Antonio Pappano, Klaus Mäkelä, Lahav Shani, Manfred Honeck, Riccardo Chailly, Gianandrea Noseda, Jaap van Zweden, Jakub Hrusa, Paavo Järvi, Elim Chan, Gustavo Gimeno, Fabio Luisi, Vladimir Jurowski, Dima Slobodeniouk, James Gaffigan, Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla, Susanna Mälkki and Zubin Mehta.

Beatrice is the guest of such orchestras as the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Bayerische Rundfunk Sinfonieorchester, New York Philharmonic, Cleveland Orchestra, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, NHK Symphony Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Academy of St Martin in the Fields, Orchestre de Paris, Lucerne Festival Orchestra, Orchestra dell' Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Orchestra Sinfonica della RAI, Filarmonica della Scala, Seoul Philharmonic among many other top orchestras.

Beatrice Rana records exclusively for Warner Classics. She released 6 albums receiving critical acclaim and several prizes including “Young Artist of the Year” at the Gramophone Awards and “Discovery of the year” at the Edison Awards in 2017. In June 2018, she was chosen as Female Artist of the Year at the Classic BRIT Awards at the Royal Albert Hall.

Beatrice Rana won Silver (2nd Prize) and the Audience Award at the prestigious Van Cliburn competition in 2013. She had attracted international attention at 18, winning 1st Prize and all special prizes at the Montreal International Competition in 2011. Born into a family of musicians Beatrice began her musical studies at four and achieved her Piano Degree under the guidance of Benedetto Lupo at the Nino Rota Conservatory of Music in Monopoli, where she also studied composition with Marco della Sciucca. She then studied with Arie Vardi in Hannover and again with Benedetto Lupo at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia.

In 2017, Beatrice started her own chamber music festival « Classiche Forme » in her native town of Lecce, Puglia. The festival has become one of Italy’s major summer events.

Massimo Spada

Pianoforte

Massimo Spada, born in Rome in 1986, began his piano studies at the age of six and graduated with honours at Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rome in 2005, in the class of Pieralberto Biondi. He also studied with Boris Petrushansky, Riccardo Risaliti, Benedetto Lupo and Stefano Fiuzzi, Lazar Berman, Elissò Virsaladze, Joaquin Soriano and Andrea Lucchesini.

In 2009 he achieved his degree with honours in Music History at the Università La Sapienza in Rome. 
He regularly performs solo recitals and chamber music concerts in duo and trio formations. Among the musicians with whom he collaborated there are Beatrice Rana, Andrea Obiso, Andrea Oliva, Roberto González-Monjas, Simone Lamsma, David and Diego Romano, to name just a few. His intense concert activity led him to perform in many venues and festivals in Italy and abroad, including Parco della Musica in Rome, Festival MiTo in Turin, Festival Internazionali per la Pace in Assisi, Sagra Malatestiana in Rimini, and for several prestigious concerts series in Venice, Padua, Bologna, Cuneo, Matera, La Spezia, Sulmona, Catania, Siracusa, Campobasso, Aosta.

He promotes contemporary music and often performs pieces dedicated to him. Since 2011 he is the pianist of Ensemble Novecento, conducted by Carlo Rizzari, with whom he promoted new music of emerging composers.

He was awarded a First Prize in many international competitions, including J. S. Bach Competition in Sestri Levante, Rospigliosi Competition in Lamporecchio, Premio Sergio Cafaro.Very active as a teacher, he is piano professor at Conservatorio Morlacchi in Perugia and he is one of the founders and artistic directors of the International Music School Avos Project, where he teaches from 2020.

Maxime Pidoux

Percussioni

Maxime Pidoux, born in Paris in 1994, began his musical career on the piano at the age of 5. Two years later, he took his first percussion lessons at the Conservatoire Hector Berlioz. This was followed by training in marimba, timpani, jazz vibraphone and drumset. His great urge to discover new ways of playing the drums led Maxime to Munich in 2013, where he studied at the University of Music and Theatre with Prof. Raymond Curfs. He furthered his musical education with the French Youth Orchestra, the Schleswig Holstein Festival Orchestra and the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra under the direction of Dennis Russell Davies, Michael Sanderling, Christoph Eschenbach, Krzysztof Urbanski, Manfred Honeck and Daniel Harding. From September 2016, Pidoux was a member of the Bavarian State Orchestra’s Orchestra Academy. This was followed by additional professional orchestral experience with the La Scala Orchestra in Milan, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestre de Paris, the Konzerthaus Orchestra Berlin and the NDR Radiophilharmonie. He has worked with conductors such as Riccardo Chailly, Kirill Petrenko, Zubin Mehta, Daniel Barenboim, Myung-Whun Chung, Andris Nelsons, Fabio Luisi, Philippe Jordan, Vladimir Jurowski, Klaus Mäkelä, Paavo Järvi and Ivan Fischer. From 2018 to 2022, Pidoux was engaged as 1st percussionist in the Bavarian State Orchestra. In January 2022, he moved to La Scala in Milan as principal timpanist. He is also a founding member of the percussion quintet OPERcussion. Since October 2022, Pidoux has been a senior lecturer for timpani at the Mozarteum University Salzburg and regularly gives masterclasses in Europe.

Simone Rubino

After winning the ARD Competition in 2014 and receiving the Crédit Suisse Young Artist Award in 2016, Simone Rubino has performed as a soloist with the Wiener Philharmoniker, the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, the HR-Sinfonieorchester, the Deutschen Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, the Münchner Philharmoniker, the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester, the SWR Symphonieorchester, the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, the Kammerakademie Potsdam, the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai, the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo, under the baton of conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Gustavo Gimeno, Tugan Sokhiev, Manfred Honeck, Tan Dun, Michael Sanderling, Antonello Manacorda, Kristian Järvi, Elim Chan, Maxime Pascal and Francesco Angelico. Since 2016 he has been collaborating regularly with Maestro Tan Dun, performing on several tours in China (Shanghai–Beijing–Xiamen), Poland and Italy. In 2018 he was Artist in Residence with the BR Münchner Rundfunkorchester, and in 2020 with the Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini in Parma. Simone Rubino is a regular guest at festivals such as the Lucerne Festival, the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, the Rheingau Musik Festival, the Heidelberger Frühling, the Bach Festival in Leipzig, the Bologna Festival, the Czech Chamber Music Society, Musical Olympus in Russia and La Folle Journée (both in France and Japan). From 2019 to 2023 Simone Rubino was Professor of Percussion at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne, and from April 2023 he became Professor of Percussion at the University of the Arts Berlin (UdK). Among his recent and upcoming engagements are a concert at the Stresa Festival, the opening concert of the forthcoming season of La Toscanini in Parma in October 2025, participation in the Festival Suoni Riflessi, a collaboration with philosopher Umberto Galimberti at Fasano Musica, and two international concerts in which he will appear as soloist and conductor alongside the BR Münchner Rundfunkorchester, followed by a guest appearance at the Czech Chamber Music Society in Prague. From 2025, Simone Rubino is also Artistic Director of the Fasano Musica Festival in Italy.

Novo Quartet

Fondato a Copenaghen nel 2018, il Novo Quartet è uno dei più promettenti giovani ensemble danesi. Con base a Vienna e Copenaghen, la formazione è costituita dai violinisti Kaya Kato Møller e Nikolai Vasili Nedergaard, dalla viola Daniel Śledziński e dalla violoncellista Signe Ebstrup Bitsch.Il Quartetto è stato premiato in vari concorsi internazionali e, recentemente, a settembre del 2023, ha ricevuto il primo premio e quattro premi speciali al Concorso di Ginevra. La formazione è promossa dalla Fondazione delle Arti Danese nel loro programma dedicato ai migliori Giovani Artisti per l'anno 2024. Il Novo Quartet è stato introdotto nel mondo della musica da camera grazie all'aiuto del Prof.Tim Frederiksen all'Accademia Reale di Musica Danese, che per quattro anni ha saputo infondere loro un profondo e significativo amore per il quartetto d'archi. Successivamente, il Novo Quartet è stato accolto all’Accademia Europea della musica da Camera di Vienna, seguendo gli insegnamenti del Prof. Johannes Meissl. Accanto a questi impegni formativi, il Quartetto  è orgoglioso di essere stato incluso nel programma Elite della Scuola normale di musica Alfred Cortot a Parigi. La formazione  ha potuto beneficiare  altresì dei consigli di alcuni celebri artisti dei Quartetti Alban Berg, Artemis, Modigliani e Dutch String Quartet. Il Novo quartet si è esibito in Cina, negli USA e dalla Svizzera alla Groenlandia. Molte sono le loro registrazioni radiofoniche e le collaborazioni con artisti quali i pianisti Alexander Lonquich e Petr Tengstrand, il violoncellista Andreas Brantelid, il cornista Felix Klieser, i Quartetti Modigliani e Jerusalem, l’ensemble Dreamers Circus. Significativa è altresì la collaborazione con alcuni importanti compositori danesi contemporanei, mettendo a fuoco in modo particolare i processi compositivi che stanno dietro le opere realizzate. La loro collaborazione con il compositore Mette Nielsen, ha prodotto il loro primo album nell'estate 2023 dal titolo “Frozen Moments”. Anche la musica jazz e pop trova spazio negli interessi generali della formazione. La loro recente collaborazione con il brand di moda “UNIQLO”, sottolinea il loro impegno all’esplorazione di innovative ed inaspettate intersezioni fra la musica e altre forme d’arte. L'impronta che caratterizza al meglio il Novo Quartet è il forte sentimento di amicizia che lega fra loro gli artisti, il senso reciproco di rispetto e di attenzione fra i componenti, il tutto riflesso nelle loro interpretazioni, caratterizzate da una profonda unitarietà di intenzioni e di emozioni. Nel 2025 il Novo Quartet è stato nominato New Generation Artists dalla BBC inglese per il biennio 2025/27, riconoscimento che consentirà loro di esibirsi in Inghilterra da soli e anche con le migliori orchestre della BBC .

The Trio Concept (formerly Trio Chagall) was born in 2013 from the union of three musicians from Turin: Edoardo Grieco(violin), Francesco Massimino (cello) and Lorenzo Nguyen(piano).

In October 2024, the group changed its name, inspired by the verses of Michelangelo Buonarroti, reflecting their artistic vision: to reveal the beauty enshrined in musical works.

The **Trio Concept** was named ECHO Rising Star for the 2025/2026 season and received the Prix Yves Paternot at the Verbier Festival 2024, the festival's highest honor.

In 2023, after triumphing in the final at London's Wigmore Hall, the Trio became YCAT Artist. The same year, it won first prize at the “Schoenfeld International Competition” in Harbin, China.

In Italy, it won second prize - with first not awarded - and three special prizes at the “Premio Trio di Trieste” in 2019, becoming the youngest chamber ensemble ever awarded in the competition's history.

The Trio has performed in prestigious halls, including Wigmore Hall (London), Verbier Festival, Konzerthaus (Berlin), Concertgebouw (Amsterdam) and Teatro La Fenice (Venice).Edoardo Grieco plays a 1766 Pietro Antonio Landolfi violin, while Francesco Massimino plays Gaetano Sgarabotto's “Reno Gold” cello (1948).
