Andrea Obiso

Violino

Born in 1994, he won the competition for Violino di Spalla of the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia at the beginning of the year. Recognized as an “enfant prodige,” he began studying violin and piano at age six and made his debut as a soloist with the Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana at 12.

Winner of prestigious international competitions, including the “ARD International Violin Competition 2017” in Munich (with special prize for the best premiere), the Prix Ravel 2017 (1st Prize and Audience Prize), and 2nd Prize at the “XI A. Khachaturian International Violin Competition 2015.”

He debuted at the Berlin Philharmonie with the Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin, at the Kremlin Palace with the Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra and Vladimir Spivakov, at the Shanghai Symphony Hall, and in Latin America. In 2017 he performed at the Herkulessaal and Gasteig in Munich with the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks.

In 2019 he graduated from the prestigious “Curtis Institute Of Music” in Philadelphia with masters Aaron Rosand and Midori Goto. From 2005 to 2015 he studied at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana with Boris Belkin, continuing at the Maastricht Conservatory. At only fourteen years old, he graduated from the Palermo Conservatory with honorable mention.Andrea Obiso plays a “Giuseppe Guarneri del Gesù 1741” violin granted by NPO “Yellow Angel” and an “E. Pajeot” bow from “Nippon Violin Co. Ltd.” in Tokyo.

Ruslan Talas

Violino

Born in Kazakhstan in 1998, Ruslan Talas’s musical journey has been shaped by European, Russian, and Kazakh violin traditions, which continue to mold his multifaceted and passionate approach to the instrument. He began his studies at the Kazakh National Academy of Music in Astana (2005-2010), later continuing at the Central Music School and subsequently at the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory in Moscow (2010-2021). He then pursued further studies at the HEMU Conservatory in Switzerland (2021-2024) and is currently studying at the Kronberg Academy in Germany in Janine Jansen’s class. Ruslan has been a finalist and winner of numerous international violin competitions, including the Queen Elisabeth Competition (2024), the Stuttgart International Violin Competition (2024), the Montreal International Musical Competition (2023), the Rodolfo Lipizer International Violin Competition (2022), the Vietnam International Violin and Chamber Music Competition (2019), the Postacchini International Competition (2018), and the VIII International Tchaikovsky Youth Competition (2014). He has performed in major concert halls such as the Berlin Philharmonic, Wiener Konzerthaus, Bozar in Brussels, Salle Cortot in Paris, Liederhalle Beethovensaal, Zaryadye State Concert Hall, Radio Hall in Romania, and the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest. In addition to his solo career, he is a very active chamber musician and has collaborated with artists such as Janine Jansen, Denis Kozhukhin, Antje Weithaas, Jens Peter Maintz, Daniel Blendulf, Timothy Ridout, Boris Brovtsyn, and Gareth Lubbe. He has performed with ensembles such as the Belcea Quartet, the Quartetto d’archi di Cremona, and the Leonkoro Quartet. Ruslan is currently Artist in Residence of the Nicola Bulgari Foundation.

Sarah Ferrández

Viola

Renowned for her warm, effortless sound and captivating artistry, Sara Ferrández is rapidly establishing herself as one of the leading violists of her generation. She appears regularly as a soloist with major international orchestras and in recital worldwide. Recent debuts include the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Orchestre Philharmonique de Marseille, Jyväskylä Sinfonia, National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica, Real Filharmonía de Galicia, and the Orquestra Simfònica de Balears. She has also performed with the Spanish National Symphony Orchestra, Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, RTVE Symphony Orchestra and the Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias, where she has served as Artistic Partner since 2022.

A committed chamber musician, Ferrández has appeared at leading festivals such as Verbier Festival, Rheingau Musik Festival, Bergen International Festival, Festival de Pâques d’Aix-en-Provence, Pau Casals International Music Festival, and Jerusalem Chamber Music Festival, collaborating with artists including Janine Jansen, Beatrice Rana, Renaud Capuçon, Pablo Ferrández, and Anne-Sophie Mutter. She performs regularly with Mutter’s Virtuosi and joined the Orpheum Foundation from 2025.

Born in Madrid in 1995, Ferrández studied at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía, the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, and the Kronberg Academy. She plays a 1730 David Tecchler viola and a Tourte bow, generously on loan from the Stretton Society.

Pablo Ferrández

A prize-winner at the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition and named “Young Artist of the Year” by the ICMA, Pablo Ferrández was also honored with the 2018 Princess of Girona Foundation Award for his “exceptional talent and international career.” An exclusive Sony Classical recording artist, he released his debut album in 2021. Praised for his authenticity, Ferrández “has it all: … courage, expressiveness, and authority as a soloist” (El País). The Times described him as possessing “the magnetism of a pop idol, superior technique, and exhilarating musicality.” His brilliant career continues through collaborations with world-renowned artists and prestigious orchestras. Recent highlights include his debut at the Hollywood Bowl with the Los Angeles Philharmonic under Gustavo Dudamel, as well as performances with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra (D. Gatti) and the Bamberg Symphony (C. Eschenbach). He has collaborated extensively with Anne-Sophie Mutter, performing Brahms’ Double Concerto and Beethoven’s Triple Concerto, and has appeared with the London Philharmonic, Israel Philharmonic, Rotterdam Philharmonic, Vienna Symphony, and the Orchestre National de France, among others. This season features debuts with the Filarmonica della Scala (R. Chailly), Mahler Chamber Orchestra (D. Gatti), Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony, RTE National Symphony Orchestra, and the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra. He also returns to the Düsseldorf Symphony at the Elbphilharmonie, the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale RAI, the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, the Spanish National Orchestra, the RTVE Orchestra, and the Symphony Orchestras of the Balearic Islands and Euskadi. Additionally, he serves as “Artist in Residence” with the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra. Pablo frequently collaborates with leading artists such as Vadim Repin, Martha Argerich, Gidon Kremer, Joshua Bell, Yuja Wang, Nikolay Lugansky, Khatia Buniatishvili, Beatrice Rana, Denis Kozhukhin, Maxim Rysanov, Ray Chen, Alice Sara Ott, Elena Bashkirova, Luis del Valle, and Sara Ferrández. Born in Madrid in 1991 into a family of musicians, Pablo entered the prestigious Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía at age 13, studying under Natalia Shakhovskaya. He later continued his studies at the Kronberg Academy with Frans Helmerson, supported by the Casals Foundation and Juventudes Musicales de Madrid. Pablo Ferrández plays the 1696 "Lord Aylesford" Stradivarius, on generous loan from the Nippon Music Foundation.

Beatrice Rana performs at the world’s most esteemed concert halls and festivals including the Berlin Philharmonie, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Carnegie Hall, Barbican Centre, Royal Albert Hall, Philharmonie de Paris, Vienna’s Konzerthaus and Musikverein, KKL Lucerne, Cologne Philharmonie, Munich’s Isarphilharmonie, Frankfurt’s Alte Oper, Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie, Tonhalle Zurich, Philharmonie de Luxembourg, Teatro alla Scala, BBC Proms.

She collaborates with conductors such as Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Antonio Pappano, Klaus Mäkelä, Lahav Shani, Manfred Honeck, Riccardo Chailly, Gianandrea Noseda, Jaap van Zweden, Jakub Hrusa, Paavo Järvi, Elim Chan, Gustavo Gimeno, Fabio Luisi, Vladimir Jurowski, Dima Slobodeniouk, James Gaffigan, Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla, Susanna Mälkki and Zubin Mehta.

Beatrice is the guest of such orchestras as the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Bayerische Rundfunk Sinfonieorchester, New York Philharmonic, Cleveland Orchestra, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, NHK Symphony Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Academy of St Martin in the Fields, Orchestre de Paris, Lucerne Festival Orchestra, Orchestra dell' Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Orchestra Sinfonica della RAI, Filarmonica della Scala, Seoul Philharmonic among many other top orchestras.

Beatrice Rana records exclusively for Warner Classics. She released 6 albums receiving critical acclaim and several prizes including “Young Artist of the Year” at the Gramophone Awards and “Discovery of the year” at the Edison Awards in 2017. In June 2018, she was chosen as Female Artist of the Year at the Classic BRIT Awards at the Royal Albert Hall.

Beatrice Rana won Silver (2nd Prize) and the Audience Award at the prestigious Van Cliburn competition in 2013. She had attracted international attention at 18, winning 1st Prize and all special prizes at the Montreal International Competition in 2011. Born into a family of musicians Beatrice began her musical studies at four and achieved her Piano Degree under the guidance of Benedetto Lupo at the Nino Rota Conservatory of Music in Monopoli, where she also studied composition with Marco della Sciucca. She then studied with Arie Vardi in Hannover and again with Benedetto Lupo at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia.

In 2017, Beatrice started her own chamber music festival « Classiche Forme » in her native town of Lecce, Puglia. The festival has become one of Italy’s major summer events.
